Smart Contract

A developer publishes a program, which is a reusable snippet of code, into the EVM memory. Making a transaction request allows anyone to ask for the execution of the smart contract code. As the EVM allows developers to create diverse executable applications such as games, marketplaces, financial instruments, and more. Smart contracts, when they are made available for public access, are commonly referred to as dapps, which stands for Decentralized Apps.
